Lakeshore®: Infant and Toddler Social-Emotional Learning (Face to Face LAPORTE COUNTY)

Lakeshore®: Infant and Toddler Social-Emotional Learning (Face to Face LAPORTE COUNTY)

    April 11, 2023

Face to Face training: Double-check the LOCATION of the session before registering!

In this session, we will gain a working knowledge of the social emotional learning for infants and toddlers. We will examine how building strong relationships, communicating, and being sensitive to the needs and cues of infants effects their development of milestones. We will explore strategies to aid infant caregivers in making their environment the highest quality care for infants. As toddlers are going through changes, teachers must provide behavioral and emotional supports to meet their needs. We will explore ways to provide proactive behavior guidance, respond to cues, and give positive redirection to hold children accountable. This takes intentional planning and effective facilitation on the caregiver’s part.

This training is presented through a partnership between SPARK Learning Lab and Lakeshore®. A meal will be served, and all attendees will receive a materials kit to use with the children in your program!

Lakeshore®: Promoting Positive Behaviors in the Environment (Face to Face VIGO COUNTY)

    April 15, 2023

Face to Face training: Double-check the LOCATION of the session before registering!

When children have independence and leadership within the environment, they are more likely to exhibit positive behavior. Using proactive behavior assistance, allowing children to help set expectations, and holding children accountable takes intentional planning and effective facilitation on the caregiver’s part. We will look at how caregivers can become facilitators and share the day-to-day operations with the children, which in turn, frees them up so that they can take advantage of teachable moments.
