The earliest days and years of a child’s life are the most critical to their healthy lifelong development. Even from birth, a baby’s brain is growing and making new connections every day. Jack E. Turman, Jr., Ph.D. is a Professor in the Dept. of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, Indiana University, Indianapolis, and in the Dept. of Pediatrics at the IU School of Medicine.
