February 6, 2024Talking about personal safety and providing age-appropriate information about sex creates a protective bond between parent and child, increases confidence for both, and instills knowledge that makes children and teens much less vulnerable to abuse. Using combined video and guided discussion, participants learn how to talk with and listen to children about sexual abuse and personal safety.

February 8, 2024Face to Face training: Double-check the LOCATION of the session before registering!
In this session, we will dive into the components of a high-quality supportive environment, to promote child engagement and active supervision. We will reflect on current practices for active supervision and keeping a safe and healthy environment. We will assess learning environments to support providers in meeting the needs of the children in their care and explore strategies to enrich the learning environment to meet the highest quality standards. We will take the time to evaluate our learning environment, and plan for any needed changes.
This training is presented through a partnership between SPARK Learning Lab and Lakeshore®. A meal will be served, and all attendees will receive a materials kit to use with the children in your program!
