Apply to Join RAC!
The purpose of the Regional Advisory Councils (RACs) is to strategically aid, advise and collaborate with SPARK Learning Lab! Members provide input on technical assistance supports for early childhood education programs in Indiana. The Councils provide feedback and recommendations to SPARK Learning Lab.
Each of the five service delivery areas (SDAs) has their own RAC with up to 15 members. The RACs are looking to recruit members from the following groups:
- Early childhood education professionals that represent all program types (centers, homes, ministries and schools) and quality levels (not participating and participating in Paths to QUALITY);
- Local subject matter experts and system partners; and
- Community leaders working in the early childhood education sector.
Members of the RACs will attend all Council meetings for their SDA, which take place on a quarterly basis. Meetings are two hours in length and are scheduled based on members’ availability. All meetings will have a virtual call-in option.
Members will take part in two virtual orientation meetings in July. The first RAC Orientation meeting will be hosted on Monday, July 18th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm (EST). The second RAC Orientation meeting will be hosted on Monday July 25th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm (EST).
If you are not selected as a member, you are still encouraged to attend RAC meetings and provide feedback. All Council meetings are open to the public and posted in advance.
If you are interested in joining the RAC in your SDA, please review the member expectations, which can be found here, and complete this application by 5:00 pm on May 20th, 2022. We will notify applicants of their membership status in end of June. Please contact RAC@indianaspark.com with any questions!
